SpinPerfect has upgraded the motor used in the ICON to a higher-power motor with twice the output and 3,000 RPM, the same motor used in the SpinOlution Firefly. The original motor was fully capable of driving the 4-oz and 8-oz flyers but did not provide sufficient power for the larger 16-oz, 30-oz, and 64-oz flyer sizes. To address this, all customers who previously ordered an ICON with the original motor have been shipped a replacement Base equipped with the upgraded motor. All ICONs ordered on or after October 1st now ship standard with this improved, higher-power motor from SpinPerfect.
